An ingrown toenail is where a piece of nail pierces the flesh of the toe. It can feel like you have a splinter or something very sharp down the side of the nail, is often extremely painful and can become inflamed and/or infected. Occasionally it can cause pus and bleeding. The big toenail is most commonly affected, but little toenails can become ingrown too. Shaunie can help manage this conservatively and, if required, gets excellent results from nail surgery where part or all of the nail can be permanently removed to offer long term comfort and relief.
