About Shaunie

Shaunie spent her early life in South Africa, active and outdoors, casting her hand at most sports, and excelling in many. This came with its own insight into injury and the wonder of biomechanics. Following an earlier Diploma from the Sports Science Institute in South Africa (2000), Shaunie qualified in 2004 from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff with a BSc(Hons) in Podiatry. She has worked in both the NHS and private practice in London for over 20 years. 

 

She enjoys all aspects of Podiatry with a particular focus on Musculoskeletal pathologies of the foot and ankle. As an Advanced Specialist Podiatrist for many years in both a large Central London NHS Trust and Imperial College Hospitals she has worked alongside top Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgeons and Physiotherapists. Confident in all areas of Podiatry she has an excellent knowledge of pathologies affecting the foot, ankle and lower limb.

 

With a young family she has an additional special interest in Podopaediatrics (children’s feet) and putting children at ease.

 

It is important that her patients feel listened to whilst in a friendly and relaxed environment.
